TRUE BLUE

The theme of this fourth and final week of the fall blog ring is True Blue.  I think that it is a very appropriate theme.  I may have a bit of a different take on it than most, but hey, what is a rebel like me to do right?

For me the folks at Handmade Artists generally prove to be "True Blue" in the truest sense of the word.  They invite you in, help you when you need it and are always there for you.  Whether you need to vent about your day, your life or whether it is something more creative, they are always there with answers or tips that you can try.  It is for one reason and one reason only, to help each other, to be there for each other, to be "True Blue".

So here are some things from some of my "True Blue" friends.  I hope that you enjoy it and that you come over to Handmade Artists and take a look around.

From Sandi at  IKnitQuiltSew.

These adorable cowboy baby booties are just a sample of the creative flow from this talented artists.  Not only does she sew and knit and quilt as her shop name implies, but she also has time for everyone on the forum.  No matter if she is heading up a huge craft show and at the same time producing her own crafts for the show, she is still around to answer questions or just give a spot of advice to those who need it.  Kudos to Sandi and I am glad to be able to call her a "True Blue" friend. Thanks Sandi

Another "True Blue" friend is John and of course his lovely wife Debora.  He does not show up everyday and he not all that chatty on the forum, but you know what, he is there and so is Debora when you need them for advice and he creates some of the most beautiful work I have seen.  His lapidary work is phenomenal and his metal work is just as stunning along with his wire wrapping to create the most beautiful necklace pendants you will find.

Just take a look at this sapphire and you will see what I mean.

Thanks John and Debora

Next on my list is Lisa at Uniqlets.

There is nothing simple about Lisa's work, it is complex and spiritual as well as being just down right beautiful.  Her style is eclectic and steam punk but you won't find any more amazing pieces anywhere you look.  Trust me.  Lisa has give of herself to so many people while traveling back and forth to care for her parents.  For me, she reached out and helped with my grandson when I just could not figure some things out about this adorable, tyrannical, charming and gifted child.  I will forever than Lisa for her advice and her willingness to help.

Here is a piece of Lisa's that I simply adore.

Then there is April, the Brooklyn Bead Goddess.  She creates her own lampwork beads and not only does she create the beads, her creations include her creations.  Yeah, say that one 3 times fast.  Yes, she creates beautiful jewelry using her own creative lampwork beads.  She is "True Blue" to her one true passion, lampwork.  She is a true artisan and it shows in her beads and how she uses them to create her spectacular pieces.  I love earrings, so here is one of the multitude of her creations that I just adore.

Another of my favorite "True Blue" friends is Debbie of Yankee Burrow Creations.  You can find her by clicking on the name which is a link to her shop at CraftStar.  Debbie has been what I consider a real "True Blue" friend.  She is a very wise lady and has helped me tremendously to see myself as I really am and she has inspired me to do more.  Her advice and friendship are invaluable to me.  Since I live within a block of the beach, I chose one of her items to show you what living near a beach means to me.  Yep, relaxation.  When it is cool enough to have the windows open, I lay awake at night and listen to the endless crash of the waves on the beach. It soothes me to sleep without fail.  Thank you for being "True Blue" Debbi.

Last but not least is the Colette Collection.  This is some of the most magnificent wire wrapping that I have had the pleasure to show on my blog.  The detail and the precision is a work of art.  This Charlemagne Wire Wrapped Necklace is so beautiful, but there are so many others that you need to take a look at.  Just take a browse through her shop and you will be astounded at the magnificence of her work.

These are my "True Blue" friends and some of there "True Blue" works of art.  I hope you have enjoyed hearing about my friends and taking a peak at their artistry.

Have a blessed day.

Pam
