New Featured Artists - Brooklyn Bead Goddess

This is my featured artist for this week.  Brooklyn Bead Goddess is a lampwork artisan.  She creates beautiful glass beads.  April tells us that she became intrigued by working with glass as she walked along the Coney Island boardwalk watching other glass makers work.  She carried this interest in her heart until she was able to begin creating her own style.  Living in Brooklyn, April says, give her a certain flair and style all her own.

Once she has created the bead design she is inspired to do, she then puts it all together into beautiful jewelry.

This is one of her beautiful bracelets.  It looks like sunshine to me, light and bright and so sunny.  It is one of my favorite pieces but to be sure there are many others as well.  For instance

Again, her talent has come through in these beautiful beads by adding this beautiful blue to these white lampwork beads.  Once completed, they look like it would be easy to do, but I have watched these artisans at work and believe me this takes true talent.

Here is another one of my favorites.  The swirls of different colors in this beautiful yellow base is absolutely stunning.

Be sure to check out the Brooklyn Bead Goddess at Handmade Artists Shops and while you are there you will see other artisan work as well.  So get all your Christmas shopping done with one stop shopping.

You can also find April at these locations.
